The dictionary definitions of party are many. But there is a constant in most of them. And it is the meeting character they bear. Meeting point between local inhabitants and visitors in days with a more relaxed spirit and better humour. In O Pino numerous celebrations exist, mainly related with religious matters. Stand out, for the number of people, those of A Magdalena, in Castrofeito, July 22, and that of San Pedro, in Arca, June 29. In the gastronomic section, the reference is the already consolidated Festa do Gallo (Festivity of the Cock) and Mostra Cabalar (Horse Show) that takes place every first Sunday of the month of August, also in Arca.

| Pilgrimage of A Magdalena |
A Magdalena as much as San Pedro's party are popular pilgrimages, in oak tree paths, with a great popular power. Their structure is very similar, with solemn mass at noon, country meal weather permitting, and lively music. Both, A Magdalena (July 22) and San Pedro (June 29) are declared local festivals. In this last case, a curious tradition, unaltered by the passing years, must be highlighted. The party is always organized by a small and wilful committee of young people. In fact, apart from some help received from the elders, it is financed with the contributions made, in the parish of Arca, by the elder son and daughter of each house until they marry.

| "Mostra Cabalar" (Horse Show) |
A separate chapter deserve the popular Festivity of the Cock (Festa do Gallo) and the Horse Show (Mostra Cabalar), with already six editions held. The appointment is on first Sunday of the month of August. The Fair of Living Cocks (Festa dos Galos Vivos) takes place, where a jury rewards the best couples presented to the competition. The fair has stands, the prégon (opening speech) is read, and after the popular meal with the cock as a protagonist, the public can enthuse on different tests, competitions and equestrian exhibitions.
